A major networking enhancement has been implemented for Counter-Strike 2's practice matches and those initiated via the "map" command. These matches now default to engine loopback mode, matching CS:GO's offline behavior.

Engine loopback mode bypasses most networking code for the host player, reducing latency by one tick. This results in a more responsive offline playing experience.

For players who prefer the standard networking behavior, engine loopback can be disabled using the command line parameter "loopback=0". For example:

map de_dust2 loopback=0

This update primarily benefits players who frequently use offline practice or local server configurations.
